GITC arquitectura turned to a concrete plinth to give the home a structurally sound base with Chilean wood glass and concrete shaping the interior. It is the first level of the house that contains the double height living area along with other public spaces while the second level holds the expansive bedrooms along with the bathrooms. Confined to the basement are the music room recreational zones home theater and other fun spaces. A beautiful stairwell connects the various levels even while allowing for unhindered flow of light.
Despite its seemingly daring form the innovative extension feels perfectly at home in the more traditional backdrop with aging metallic finishes and unassuming décor completing the open interior. A neutral backdrop in pristine white pastel hues that usher in an air of femininity and bright warm metallics which dazzle at every turn – is a residence that definitely moves away from the stereotypical townhouse!
The transformation started with the revamping of the lower level to house an open plan living with a neutral color palette. With the clients wanting a relaxing beachside vibe inside the home white pops of blue and subtle coastal style accessories were carefully chosen to achieve the desired look.
A luxurious master bedroom with stunning marble fireplace and a spacious master bathroom next to it defines the top level along with additional private spaces. A private courtyard with multiple entryways and stone stairway connecting it with the master bedroom completes the expansive and exclusive Canadian home built for an avid traveler.
The bedrooms offer a more private and cozy setting with walls and ceiling draped in wood along with plush décor in white shaping a serene setting. Relaxing timeless and distinctive this Bridgehampton guest house moves away from the mundane.
